Troke is no stranger to this music game. From producing the Hip Hop Compilation album “The Alliance” to releasing his self produced/written and arranged R&B/Tropical EP “Better Late Than Never”, this young Entrepreneur still has more under his sleeves. 2004 was an exciting year for Troke, starting off singing the national anthem at The Newark Bears Stadium, then performing live on “The Roof” Mun2 TV show in Miami, and opening up for various artist throughout the Tri State area. Now in 2005 he plans to take his music as far as he can, as he prepares to pack up and tour around the US, Europe and the Caribbean to promote his debut album: “Better Late Than Never”.

Who is in your group and what do they do or play?
Troke: I'm actually a one-man band, I write and produce all my music.

Where did your name originate and what does it mean to you?
Troke: Well, growing up in the city of Newark, NJ, it was nearly
impossible for me to ignore the presence of the Hip Hop Culture as apart of
my life. Graffiti was the 1st element of the culture that attracted me
the most, and using Troke as my tag name I was initiated to the art
form. Everybody knew me as Troke, and since then the name just stuck to
me.

How would you describe your music in your own words?
Troke: Street, romantic, realistic, fresh, and ready to brake thru
doors.

Is your music exclusively in Spanish or do you have English songs too?
Troke: It's bilingual.

How do you feel that everyone has treated you since you started in the
music biz?
Troke: My close friends have been very supportive and encouraging, but
the industry people aren't as risky as before. They're afraid of taking
chances and explore something out of the ordinary.

Is there any new albums, demos, videos or anything else that is
scheduled to be released in 2005?
Troke: Yes I'm currently working on mixtapes, and will be releasing
several singles throughout the year, so be on the look out for TROKE.

If so, can you tell us about them?
Troke: My next single entitled "Entregate" will be released this Spring and will be accompanied by 3 types of remixes: Reggaeton, Hip Hop, and an English version as well.

How do you promote your music & website?
Troke: Basic marketing strategies. Live performances, fliers, posters,
Hand outs, word-of-mouth, and just doing whatever it takes.

Troke: At the moment only local college radio stations are supporting
the album, but eventually I'll branch off to the south, and west coast.

What do you hope to accomplish before the end of 2005?
Troke: A wider fan base, and a deal whether it's independent or major.

Troke no es ningun estrangero en la musica. Primero como productor del disco "The Alliance" y despues como productor/compositor y arreglista de su recien album "Better Late Than Never" (Mejor Tarde Que Nunca), este artista joven tiene mucho mas que ofrecer. El 2004 fue un año exitoso para Troke, empeso cantando el himno national americano en el estadio Newark Bears Statium de Newark, luego hiso su debut televisional en "The Roof" de MUN2 en Miami, y tambien abrio acto para various artistas en el aria tri-estatal. Ahora en 2005, tiene planes de llevar su musica los mas lejos posible, mientras se prepara su gira por los Estados Unidos, Europa, y el caribe para promover su disco: "Better Late Than Never".

Quien esta en tu grupo y que instrumentos tocan?
Troke: Soy solista. Soy my propio compositor, productor y musico.

Cuando fue originado tu nombre y cual es el significado?
Troke: Bueno, fui criado en la ciudad de Newark, NJ dondo fue casi imposible ignorar la presencia de la cultura de Hip Hop. El arte de Graffiti fue el primer elemente de la cultura que me captivo, y usando "Troke" como mi nobre artistico todos me conocian como Troke y hasta el sol de hoy es mi apodo

 

En tus propias palabras, como describirias tu musica?
Troke: Callejera, romantica, realistica, fresca y preparada para romper las puertas de la industria.

Tu musica es exclusivamente en español o tambien en ingles?
Troke: Mi musica es bilingue.

Como te han tratado la gente desde que comensastes en tu carera
musical?
Troke: Mi familia y mis amigos me an apoyado desde el principio. Pero los executivos de la industria y los promotores tienen miedo de apoyar algo diferente.

Algunos projectos nuevos, demos, videos o cualguier otra cosa para
el año 2005?
Troke: Si, al momento estoy trabajando con DJs promoviendome en el circuito del Mixtape, y durante el año estare proviendo nuevos temas de mi proximo disco. Asi que preparencen para TROKE.
