MP3
by ANGELA
Musical
genius is the only way to describe, Ray Pina aka Chito Rock and
Raul Lopez aka Raboogie who met in Elementary School. Raised in
the tough streets of NYC this Dominican – Puerto Rican duo
is slowly taking over and captivating everyone that will listen.
It took some time for them to realize that their true calling
was MP3. Before teaming up, Chito Rock was playing baseball and
almost made it to the minors but had to stop due to injuries and
Raboogie was on his way to becoming a music teacher. They always
had the love of music in their veins but didn’t come to
terms with the fact that it was destined for them to perform until
about 6 years ago when they decided to get together and get serious
about making their musical talents known to the world. They find
it very easy to work with each other because they have known each
other so long and come from the same “hood”. All they
are looking for in this industry is to make people dance and enjoy
their music. They have opened up for a number of artists including:
Tego Calderon, Aventura, Nina Sky, Zion and Lennox, Hector El
Father, Magic Juan and N.O.R.E, among others. They have had the
pleasure of being featured in La Connection Magazine and Indie
Street Latino Magazine, as well as having done some TV Spots and
radio jingles. They are key to the industry because they can rap
in Spanish or Spanglish and that makes it easier for everyone
today to understand where exactly they are coming from. They have
been working with well-known producers, Game G – Gil –
Double G and Canelo. Canelo has official decided to join MP3 as
their 3rd member. Known mainly for Merengue Rap, Spanish Hip Hop
and Reggaeton, MP3 is sure to blow your mind with new and exciting
sounds. They are currently in the studio recording their debut
album “THE FORGOTTEN”, which will feature their smash
hit single, “La Chilla” along with many other great
songs. They are also in the process of doing their 1st music video
in coincidence with their album for the song “La Chilla”.
The industry is calling out for new and unique styles and MP3
is there to answer. Making people dance is a tough thing to do
and MP3 is definitely up for the challenge!
