Adopted at 1½ years old into a Latin family has made his style of music differ from your average Irish boy. He is the newest phenomenon taking on the very competitive Reggaeton scene. Different from all of your classic Reggaetoneros, he brings to the table a blend of styles that you will never run into again. He is unlike any other artist out there. He has been involved in the Latin music industry all of his life in some form or another. He was part of the Grammy nominated group, Los Jalapeños since the age of 17. He was well known for being called “The South Paw”. That name was brought about for him being one of the very few left-handed accordionists in the Latin Music Industry. After a very successful career with Los Jalapeños his musical life came to a screeching halt as one of the other members of the group was involved in an accident that would claim the life of their band. Still having the love for music he decided to pick up the pieces and start all over again with his newfound love for Latin Urban music. Always in the studio, he is now in the final stages of dropping his first solo Cd “EL CAPITULO FINAL (THE FINAL CHAPTER)”. This Cd is sure to bring about a new era of Latin Urban music as we know it. With blends of sounds ranging from Hip-Hop, R&B, traditional Dembow, Vallenato, Salsa, Cumbia and Tejano, you are sure to have the musical ride of your life as you listen to his magnificent array of music. “EL CAPITULO FINAL (THE FINAL CHAPTER) will not focus on following the current trend of the genre but to create it’s own bringing with him a handful of music flavors that everyone will love.
This rising star is confident in bringing a positive aspect to the genre. MikeyG realizes that people will judge him because he is not Latino but would like set the record straight asking everyone to realize his love for Latinos and Latin music as a whole and to please not judge him for what you see, but what you hear.
