Who is in your group and what do they play?

How did all of you meet?
Most of us met when playing in other bands in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and became good friends. A few of the members have come to the band recommended by someone who has left.

Where did your name originate and what does it mean to you?
Our name was actually a suggestion by another musician and what it means to us is responsibility, seriousness, professionalism, family, friends and most importantly, of the people.

How would you describe your music in your own words?
Our music is full of love and hope. We hope to one day be known all over the world and we do our music with lots of love and respect for music itself as well as for the people who will listen to it.

Out of all of your songs, Which one is your favorite? Why?
Acariciame is the favorite for one because that’s the song we are presently promoting but mainly because it’s a song about love and what a man feels when he is caressed by the woman he loves. It’s a universal song that everyone can relate to. It does not discriminate on age, weight or anything of that sort. It just says what a man feels when he is really in love with a woman.

What other artists have you worked with?
We have worked with Lalo Rodriguez, Caña Brava, Grupo Mayombe and some of the members of Grupo Manía.

How often do you record?
We do not record that often but we’re hoping that will change soon and we can begin putting out an album per year.

Where is your main fan base?
Washington, DC area.

Do you have fans outside of the USA?
Yes, we have people listening to our music in France, El Salvador, Guatemala, Hondura, Haiti, Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Chile, Peru, Canada and we’re sure many other countries.

Do you write all of your own music?
Yes, all original material is written by Pablo Antonio Zelaya although in the upcoming CD we plan to include some music by other authors.

How many times have you been to the studio to record?

Do you perform anywhere on a regular basis?
Yes, we perform at all the Latin Clubs in the DC Metropolitan area and we also do a lot of private performances.

How do you promote your music and your website?
We send out messages to the people signed up on our mailing list, we put messages on message boards, we email other people with sites in the industry, we hold drawings for prizes to motivate people to visit our site, we give away CD’s, we give away a song as an MP3 download, we give our music to DJ Pools for the DJ’s across the country.

Is there anything else you want to say to your fans and other up and coming musicians?
We would like to thank our fans for all of their support. We would not be where we are today without them. For up and coming musicians, don’t give up, keep practicing and stay humble.

We would like to also express our thanks to all the people who in one way or another have supported us by playing our music, the DJ’s out there, thank you very much, the club owners who have given us the opportunity to play at their clubs, all those people who have trusted us as the entertainment for their parties. Thank you! Our most sincere thanks to Tony Guzmán of Variedades de Washington. Tony was the first person to get us on TV in DC and we will never forget that. Thank you Tony!

Como se conocieron?

La mayoría de nosotros nos conocimos tocando en otras bandas del area metropolitana de Washington, DC y nos hicimos Buenos amigos. Algunos de los miembros han llegado a la orquesta recomendados por alguien que se ha ido.

Cuando fue originado tu nombre y cual es el significado?
Nuestro nombre fue una sugerencia de otro músico y lo que significa para nosotros es responsabilidad, seriedad, profesionalismo, familia, amistad y sobre todo, del público.

En tus propias palabras, como describirias tu musica?
Nuestra musica está llena de amor y esperanza. Esperamos que algún día seamos conocidos mundialmente y hacemos nuestra música con mucho amor por el respeto que le tenemos a la música y a la gente que la va a escuchar.

Cual de todo tus canciones es tu favorito? Y porque?
Acariciame es la favorita no sólo porque es la canción que estamos promoviendo actualmente sino porque es una canción sobre el amor y lo que siente un hombre cuando es acariciado por la mujer que ama. Es una canción universal con la cual cualquier persona se puede identificar. No descrimina por edad, peso ni nada de eso. Solamente dice lo que un hombre siente cuando está verdaderamente enamorado de una mujer.

Con que otras artistas has trabajado?
Hemos trabajado con Lalo Rodriguez, Caña Brava, Grupo Mayombe y algunos de los miembros de Grupo Manía.

Cada cuando graban?
No grabamos muy seguido pero esperamos que eso cambien pronto y que podamos lanzar un disco por año.

Si, hay gente escuchando nuestra música en Francia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, España, Los países bajos, Polonia, Italia, Chile, Peru, Canadá y estamos seguros que muchos otros países.

Compones toda tu musica?
Si, todo el material original es escrito por Pablo Antonio Zelaya aunque en el CD que saldrá pronto planeamos incluir musica de otros autores.

Cuántas veces han estado en un estudio grabando?

Tienen algunos lugares que normalmente tocan?
Si, nos presentamos en todos los clubs latinos del área metropolitana de DC y también hacemos muchas presentaciones privadas.

Como promueves tu musica y website?
Enviamos mensajes a las personas que estan en nuestra lista de correo, ponemos mensajes en pizarras, enviamos correo electronico a otra gente con paginas web dentro de la industria, hacemos rifas para motivar a la gente que visite nuestra pagina, regalamos CD’s, regalamos una cancion para bajar como MP3, le damos nuestra musica a los DJ Pools para los DJ’s en todo el pais.
