Our
group is formed of several people….

We only have music in Spanish for right now.

God has given me the opportunity to work with people like Lalo
Rodriguez, Frankie Ruiz, Ramon Rodriguez, Joe Quijano, Nino Segarra
, Orquesta la Solucion de Puerto Rico, Puerto Rican power and
many more..

Who are some of the artists that you would like to work with?
In
reality I would like to work with some of my old friends from
New York, Chino Nuñez, My little brother, Frankie Vazquez,
Willie Romero, Luisito Rivera , Willie Villegas, and work with
all the percussionists. We can always learn other things and opinions.
We will always be the percussionists of the world.
When
did you realize that you wanted to be a musician?
Since early on, 3 yrs old I had my drum set and I was always in
marching bands. I went to my first Salsa dance with Orq. La Selecta
because my uncle Jose Cheito Quiñonez played with them.
How did you all meet?
This
story is a long one but a friend of mine from New York (Rigo)
came to see my Latin Jazz Band in Old San Juan in a club called
Newyorrican Café and he told me that this was something
that we should definitely be recording. After that, it’s
all history. Ha ha ha.

You
obviously have your own personal styles, what do each of you bring
to the group?
We
each bring our own ideas, like we say in the streets, El Masacote.
What
is your favorite song that you play?
BANDOLERA
Why
is that particular song your favorite?
Because
it has SWING!!! It has some Cuban Rhythms and Rap with Salsa Gorda
and it was made very heavy to dance to by my proper authority.
Ha ha ha.
Do
you have anything new coming out in 2006?
We
are working on Criollo Latin Jazz group for young men (ages 16-19).
All of the songs are originals from these young men. It consists
of Bass, Congas and us. They are now playing in Puerto Rico and
they are having a great public response from people of all ages.
Discography:
I
have recorded with La Orq. La Solucion of Puerto Rico, The Colon
Brothers from New York, Nino Segarra and my own production BAILALO.
Influences:

KING TITO PUENTE, ENDEL DUEÑO, CUQUI SANTOS AND ORESTE
VILATO.

La
Orquesta se compone de una Trompeta / por el Sr. Molina / Trombon
el Sr.George Rivera Tenor Sax por el Sr. Michael Rivera/ Piano
y Arreglista Edwin Luciano. el Sr. Joseph Carbo Arrelista y Bajista/
Anibal Rivera en el Bongo / Nelson Rodriguez en la Conga y con
Anthony Martinez Cantautor Betsy Lopez y el Sr. Sergio Mercado
y un Servidor Julio ''junito'' Albino Timbalero Percussionista

Tu
musica es exclusivamente en Español o tambien en Ingles?
Tenemos musica en Español y para el publico que le guste
el jazz Latino, MAMBO JAZZ
Con que otras artistas has trabajado?
Bueno Dios me ha dado la oportunidad de haber compartito con orq
como Lalo Rodriguez, Frankie Ruiz, Ramon Rodriguez, Joe Quijano
y Su Conjunto Cachana, Nino Segarra , Orquesta la Solucion de
Puerto Rico, Puerto Rican power y muchas mas..
Cuales son algunos de los artistas con los que quieres trabajar?
Bueno
en realidad me gustaria compartir con mis viejos amigos de new
york, Chino Nuñez, mi hermanito, Frankie Vazquez, Willie
Romero mi compadre Luisito Rivera , Willie Villegas, y volver
a compartir con todos los percussionistas ya que siempre tenemos
algo que seguir aprendiendo uno del otro y cambiamos opiniones
... como siempre somos los percusionistas del mundo,
Cuando
te diste cuenta que queries ser musico?
Desde muy pequeño tenia bateria desde los 3 años
y estube en marchin bands y una ves fui a mi 1er baile de salsa
con la Orq. La Selecta y mi tio Jose Cheito Quiñonez tocaba
con La Selecta , Cantante y Trompetista de Willie Chirino , Gloria
Estefan y excantante del Conjunto Canayon de Puerto Rico me colo
en el baile y vi a Cuqui Santos a hora Timbalero del GranCombo
echando un solo en el timbal y desde entonces dije yo voy hacer
timbalero y hasta el sol de hoy estudie en la Universidad Interamericana
recinto de San German Puerto Rico musica (percussion).
Como
se conocieron?
Bueno
la historia es muy larga pero fue atravez de un amigo mio de New
York y Rigo fue a ver mi banda de latin jazz en el viejo San Juan
un club llamado Newyorrican Cafe y me dijo esto definitivamente
hay que grabarlo... y lo demas es historia.... ha ha
Cada
uno de ustedes tienen su propio estilo, que es lo que cada uno
de ustedes trae al grupo?
Bueno
son ideas nuestra , como decimos en la calle el masacote!!!, sabor
el cual cada uno de nosotros llevamos en la sangre y saber que
la quimica es alli , ya que los dos somos percussionistas y conosemos
lo que hacemos y queremos llevar al publico bailador y conocedor
de la buena musica.
Cual
es tu cancion favorita?
BANDOLERA
Por
que esa cancion es tu favorita?
Porque
tiene un SWING!!! Bien Chevere!!! Y pude incluir una fucion de
ritmos Cubanos y Rap con Salsa Gorda ademas de Uque el Arreglo
esta bien pesao para bailar y es de mi propia autoria. Ja Ja Ja.
Algunos
projectos nuevos, demos, videos o cualguier otra cosa para el
año 2005?
Bueno
estamos trabajando en un cuarteto compuestos por jovenes de la
edades de 16 y 19 años Criollo Latin Jazz Group todos arreglos
son originales de los muchachos se compone de Bajo, Conga Drum
set y nuestro Cuatro Puertoriqueño, ya estan tocando en
todo Puerto Rico y su asectacion es muy Buena entre el publico
de todas las edades.

Que
