Elias, you are the vocalist in a group called INFAME. Who else is in the group and what do they do?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Well I am the lead vocals. Ruben plays the drums. Oscar plays the guitar. Ric plays the other guitar. Mike plays bass and we just got a new member Eric who also plays guitar, but he plays acoustic guitar. He’s only 16.

Wow. That's cool. So how did you guys come up with the name INFAME?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): We all came up with the name because we would like to be infamous.

Oh ok. How did you all meet and decide to form a group?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): It was funny because Ruben and I used to play in a band together and one day I called him and he was not playing with anybody and I was not playing with anybody so we just decided to start a band. We got lucky when we found all the other guys
How many albums have you guys done already?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Just one and we are really happy with it. We are doing some new songs right now for the new one. The first Cd has not even been out for more than 1 and a half months but we are working on the new one already.

What is your album that is out now called?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): “En El Principio”

Where can our readers find your album for sale?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Well it will be for sale in January all over. Walmart, Best Buy, Target just everywhere.

How do you go about promoting yourselves, your music and the site?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): We are promoting ourselves as of right now we just call anywhere they will let us play at.

Oh ok. That's good. Very motivated! So is your music exclusively in Spanish or do you have English songs as well?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Well we are going to do some English songs on the new Cd as well because there are some people that have told us to try that out but we are going to do the next Cd in Spanish and English.

Oh ok. Cool. What do you hope to accomplish in 2006?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): The world . Ha ha ha. Just to have a chance to let everyone hear our music and make new friends everywhere we go.

Nice. Well now you have some in Chicago.

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): That’s what its all about and you all have friends in TX and Guatemala now.

Awww. Thank you. So where exactly is your band located?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): We are located in Fort Worth, TX as of right now but we are from all over the place.....some of the members are from lima Peru, Guatemala, and Spain.

Oh ok cool. Do you have any clubs or events that you normally play at?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Well we have played at some local clubs here in Dallas in deep elum.

Oh ok. How often do you guys record?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): The bass player that plays with us in the band is a studio engineer so we get free studio time whenever we want.

Very nice. I bet you guys love it!

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Yes we do.

So how long have each of you guys been in the music industry?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Well I have been in it for as long as I can remember. Ruben has been in it for at least 10 years. Oscar has been in it for at least 8 years. Ric is really new he has been in it for as long as the band has been together. Eric has been in the music industry for at least 4 years and Mike has been in it for as long as he can remember.

So you are all pretty experienced. Do you see the group still together and going strong in 5 years?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Yes I do because I see the hunger in their eyes. It’s a hunger that I have never seen from anybody else.

What song are you guys most known for?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): “Esperare”

Who writes all the music for your group?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): I do, the guys come up with the music and I write the lyrics.

Is it all based on real life experiences?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Very much so.

What made you decide to get into the music industry?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): I have always like music because it is a way for me to get away from everything.

Have you had the chance to work with any famous artists?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Well we just got back from L.A where we played with such acts as Juanes and Thalia.

Do you have any advice for up and coming musicians?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Never give up on your dreams or on yourself because if you do your just letting yourself down, not anyone else and you would never know how far you could have ever gone.

Do you have any shout outs that you would like to give?

INFAME (Elias - Vocals): Just to everyone that knows us and for the people who don’t you are missing out. And to everyone in Chicago, we are on our way so make room for INFAME.
