Reggaeton Papi: How's it going Alofoque?
Alofoque: We chillin you know doing the damn thing with our Reggaeton music and the Latin movement.

Reggaeton Papi: So tell me why the group is called Alofoque?
Alofoque: Well to start off we got the name Alofoque from the word 'enfoque', which means to focus in Spanish. We took the word and flipped it in to a Spanish slang and decided to name the group that because its a very catchy word in the Spanish culture. People who are familiar with the Spanish language often confuse the name for a bad word but it’s not so don’t get it twisted.

Reggaeton Papi: Have you performed at any concerts around if so, tell me how people like your music?
Alofoque: Yes we have in places like Boston (Our Hometown), New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Ohio, Chicago, Tennessee and Florida. We get really good feed back from the crowd in out of state performances. Like they say, "I love yall music."

Reggaeton Papi: Now out of the three of you who is the best or should I say, which one gets more attention?
Alofoque: hahahaha Is this a trick question? Well we all have our time to shine you know but we all get valued equally.

Reggaeton Papi: Rey D and Jazel, I see your still attending college are you still going to continue with your music?
Alofoque: Rey-D - I am currently attending The University of Massachusetts Boston and yes I will continue my music all the way until I feel I accomplished my dreams. Jazel - I am currently attending West Roxbury High School and taking college courses at Berklee College of Music.

Reggaeton Papi: Geliz, are you also in school with the other guys?
Geliz: I finished high school and went to college to major as a Radiology Tech, but ended up dropping out because it was getting in the way of my music. Music is my 1st priority.

Reggaeton Papi: Jazel, you had a group of your own and somehow split up why?
Alofoque: Jazel - Yes I had a group in the year 2000 , but the leader moved to Florida, and I decided to pursue my career with the group Alofoque.

Reggaeton Papi: If any fans would like to buy your music where would they go to find it?
Alofoque: Well right now our main source is www.alofoque.com, and www. myspace.com/alofoquerecords

Reggaeton Papi: What first drew your attention to Reggaeton?
Alofoque: We all started at a young age trying to make it into the business so all three of us decided to join up as group, and we decided to form the group Alofoque.

Reggaeton Papi: Who and what are your influences?
Alofoque: Our influences were the artists in the industry right now who are doing major moves in the Reggaeton industry.

Reggaeton Papi: What style of Reggaeton is played often in your country?
Alofoque: Perreo is the most listened to style of Reggaeton played in our country, but we wanted to start a new style of Reggaeton mixing in every style out there to distinguish us from the rest.

Reggaeton Papi: Is Reggaeton mainstream and is it played on the radio there?
Alofoque: Yes where we are from Reggaeton is mainstream and is played on the radio, tv, etc....

Reggaeton Papi: If someone traveled to visit your home and wanted to hear Reggaeton music what would they have to do?
Alofoque: It's all over the country, and if they come to my hometown all they will listen to is Reggaeton because that is what we listen to, and Reggaeton is what is hot right now.

Reggaeton Papi: How would you describe your country's Reggaeton sound and development?
Alofoque: Our sound is different from the rest we mix in a lil bit of everything, and then combine it as one whole style into a mix of Reggaeton that has never been heard before.

Reggaeton Papi: How did you get interested in doing Reggaeton?
Alofoque: When we became a group we decided to sing Reggaeton because that is the type of music that will put us at the same level as every artist in the industry, and our style is what separates us from the rest.

Reggaeton Papi: Who are your favorite Reggaeton artists?
Alofoque: Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel, Zion & Lennox, Tego Calderon,.

Reggaeton Papi: Where do you think ALOFOQUE will be in 10 year's time?
Alofoque: We will be at the top of the charts selling more albums than any of us would have ever imagine. We will also put out hot tracks with Daddy Yankee and Don Omar.

Reggaeton Papi: How are you involved in Reggaeton?
Alofoque: We are involved in Reggaeton by just being artists of the music we just love to perform and put out there for our fans

Reggaeton Papi: Do you think there is anything preventing Reggaeton from flourishing for you and your fellow artists there?
Alofoque: The respect level is what is stopping Reggaeton artist’s from flourishing. They don’t get the respect they deserve for putting the same hard work and effort into making hot tracks just like JayZ, 50 Cent, Young Jeezy etc...

Reggaeton Papi: What describe ya'll do in the music industry?
Alofoque: We are a young upcoming Reggaeton group that is considered to be the new sensation in each of our appearances or performances. In the music industry we can be describe as a trio who is unique in our own way with our lyrics, music and personality.

Reggaeton Papi: Is there anything you would like to tell the public and/or other artists?
Alofoque: What we would like to tell the public is that never give up on your dream always work hard at what you want to do, and never let anybody bring you down from where you want to be.
