QUESTIONS
with...
Reed Halvorson
Associate Dir.
Greenville Little Theatre

1. What's the best show you've ever seen?
The touring production of "Urinetown: The Musical" in Minneapolis.

2. Who is your theater hero?
Arthur Miller & Tennessee Williams. Without great plays there isn't great theatre.

3. Favorite Beatle
Ringo.  I love drums and he's odd, so I completely relate.

4. Who was your most memorable teacher?
My college theatre professor, Dr. Jim Bartruff.

5. "re" or "er"?
"re". I think it's because most of the theatres I've worked at have been spelled that way.

6.
If you could see a play at any theater in the world...
The original cast of "The Producers" on Broadway.

7. Favorite place to eat

I could eat at Moe's all the time. In fact I try very hard to eat there all the time.

8. What other job in the theater would you like to attempt?

Artistic Director.    I guess I want an ulcer.

9. If a book was written about your life, what would be the title?
  "Reed between the lines"

10. Describe what you contribute to the theater (in one
sentence.)
Through hard work, attention to detail, and fun, I encourage and allow a variety of people to enjoy  the heart of theatre.

Theater Thursdays at the Nothgate Soda Shop!!!

Every Thursday the Northgate Soda Shop opens it's doors to theater folks from every company in town, after a rehearsal or performance, to grab a bite, grab a beer, and talk shop.  The turnout has been great ever since this little tradition started, and it continues to grow into quite a weekly gathering that more than fits the mission of Upstate Onstage.  Please help spread the word to anyone who doesn't know - or doesn't know if they're "invited".  All are welcome and encouraged to drop by.
