Theater Thursdays at the Nothgate Soda Shop!!!

Every Thursday the Northgate Soda Shop opens it's doors to theater folks from every company in town, after a rehearsal or performance, to grab a bite, grab a beer, and talk shop.  The turnout has been great ever since this little tradition started, and it continues to grow into quite a weekly gathering that more than fits the mission of Upstate Onstage.  Please help spread the word to anyone who doesn't know - or doesn't know if they're "invited".  All are welcome and encouraged to drop by.

SECOND CITY IMPROV WORKSHOP

The Peace Center is proud to welcome Second City to our theatre on Friday, December 21 and Saturday, December 22.  In conjunction with this event, The Peace Outreach Program would like to invite you and your fellow theatre artists to an Improvisation Workshop with these masters of improvisation and comedy.

The Improvisation Workshop will take place on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 1:00-3:00pm in the Peace Center Gunter Theatre. Workshop objectives are to build comedic improvisation skills including team-building, listening, give-and-take, communication, and creative thinking. Two concurrent sessions will be offered-each with a maximum of 15 participants-allowing ample one-on-one attention and providing a high quality workshop experience.

The workshop fee is $50 per person and tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.  In order to secure a space, interested organizations and artists are encouraged to purchase tickets at your earliest convenience by contacting Harry Culpepper, Jr. at 864-679-9206 or The Peace Center Box Office at 864-467-3000 or 1-800-888-7768.
